I seek to support clients on their personal journeys of inner exploration and connection with others. My passions for scientific inquiry, creative exploration, and spiritual curiosity have led me to the field of transpersonal psychology. I believe we are relational by nature, our minds and bodies are wired for connection and collaboration. I bring my myriad experiences and trainings together in the work of connection to others, to environment and to self.

I have more than 15 years of experience in the life sciences industry, first as a researcher then in various global sales and marketing leadership positions. My primary passion in those roles was working with individuals and teams to help them develop skills that would serve them in both their professional as well as personal lives. My work took me across the country and the world and gave me both a multicultural and global mindset. Much of the work I did was collaborative in nature, working cross-functionally within my organization as well as developing partnerships with external organizations in the industry, building relationships and finding ways to work better together.

Beyond my career, I found meaning in my lifelong interest in performing arts. I perform as a classical singer with various amateur and professional groups including the San Francisco Symphony, Opera San Jose, and the Lamplighters. My extensive training in music, dance, acting and performance art informs the work I do in therapy. Both require deep empathy, understanding through embodiment, and the willingness to be vulnerable. Both therapy and the arts make us scrutable through introspection, expression, and experimentation. My creative journey allows me to better support my clients in their own creative exploration and pursuits.

I believe therapy is also about a connection of our mind, body, and spirit. My own relationship with my body has gone through various ups and downs. As a younger woman, my relationship was based on control and effort. I was a dancer, collegiate athlete, an avid runner and triathlete, working hard to build my body and push beyond my limits. As I have aged, I have taken a more balanced approach to try to listen to what my body wants and provide it with joyful exercise, foods, pleasure, as well as rest. I believe in health at every size. I believe our bodies hold both painful and joyful memories and can provide clues about our thoughts, feelings, and actions. For that reason, I like to use a holistic and somatic approach to therapy when clients are open to it.

I have a passion for personal development and transformation. I have had various careers, moved around the country and the world, navigated major griefs and losses, held shifting identities and mindsets, and experienced changing relationships with family, friends, and partners. My own experiences and transitions have been fueled by a desire to step out of my comfort zone, choose bravery, search for meaning, and help others do the same. Additionally, I enjoy cooking, gardening, reading, watching movies and competition reality shows, hiking, travel, and spending time at home with my dogs, cats and my husband.
